Residents typically find it easiest to live either within walking/biking distance of the hospital or near a stop on the red line of the subway system. The pins above represent the current distribution of our residents across the city. There are several other popular neighborhoods for Mass. General residents, including the North End, Dorchester, Fenway, and Brookline.
Sometimes, residents choose to live somewhat further from downtown. In recent years we have had residents live in communities such as Wellesley, Concord, Winchester, or Medford, and they have made the commute work for them and their families.
