Welcome from the Chief Resident

Welcome!

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the Massachusetts General Hospital Medicine-Pediatrics Program. We are so excited to get to know you and welcome you to explore our program and to find out if we are the right fit for you.

We are proud to offer our residents the opportunities and support they need to accomplish their personal and professional goals. We are fully integrated into excellent internal medicine and pediatrics categorical programs, three med-peds continuity clinics in community health centers, and the research and mentoring resources of the broader MGH and Harvard communities. Residents have the opportunity to participate in self-design and subspecialty electives, global and rural health experiences, health policy courses, medical education workshops, and advocacy training. Our recent graduates have pursued a diverse array of paths including primary care, hospital medicine, pulmonary and critical care, adult congenital cardiology, global infectious diseases, rural health, population health management, sports medicine, and medical education.

We strive to create a strong sense of community at MGH and are committed to making our program a home for all our residents, regardless of race, gender, creed, sexual orientation, or origin. As a resident here, you will quickly become part of our quirky Med-Peds family, along with our significant others and children (of the human, plant, and animal variety)! Without a doubt, the highlight of my time here has been my co-residents who have been among my greatest teachers, supporters, and friends. I am consistently awed and inspired by their thoughtful patient care, support of one another, and commitment to improving the world around them.

I hope you will apply, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! I look forward to meeting you!
