Charles River Community Boating
A boathouse where you can learn to sail, rent sailboats, kayaks, and more! Inexpensive summer memberships. Ask Tommy and Jack about their sailing experiences!
A beautiful place to sit, run, walk, or bike while looking at the water and the city. There are several running loops you can do from MGH around various bridges ranging from 2 – 6+ miles!
A trendy hotel that was formerly the Charles Street Jail, with 3 critically acclaimed restaurants and an indoor/outdoor patio bar that is a favorite spot for DOM “Liver Rounds” during the summer months
Harvard Gardens (“HarGar”) and the Hill
Two great pubs across the street from MGH, where you can often find doctors and nurses socializing after work. Classic gathering holes for Med/Peds get-togethers, Department of Medicine “Liver Rounds,” Department of Pediatric “Phatty Liver Rounds”
The main street of Beacon Hill, lined with restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, and ice cream shops!
It’s beautiful to stroll through at any time of the year. We love ice skating on Frog Pond in the winter and riding the Swan Boats with our families in the summer!
A historical Boston marketplace that the Freedom Trail winds through. This is a classic place to take visitors as well as to walk around on your own.
Home of the Bruins and Celtics, as well as a venue for many concerts touring through Boston.
The Italian district with many delicious restaurants. A favorite location for visit dinners with inpatient teams.
A city unto itself full of places to explore, and a favorite place for residents to live given the ease of taking the red line to work.
Home of Newbury Street and Boylston Street with all the shopping, restaurants, and bars they have to offer.
A trendy area of Boston with great restaurants and coffee shops.
Home of the Harborwalk and many restaurants with wonderful ocean views.
